  • I am experiencing a similar issue related to the change. My users used to be able to click the download icon and have the video download. Now a new window appears with the video that has another option to download the video. Problem is, when its downloaded from the new window it does not appear on the download log. For what it’s worth, my embed code does have the https included in it [KGVID]https://www.website.com/wp-content/2021/01/Video.mp4[/KGVID]but still opens in a new tab.

    I’m having a similar issue. When I tried forcing https I get a 403 – forbidden error.

I’m having the same issues. It works if you right-click and select “open link in new tab” but won’t work if you try to click directly. It works in other Chromium-based browsers like Dissenter and Edge. So it’s purely related to Chrome.

Hello @turbonate @vickula @terrorem @marksisson and sorry for this late reply.

Could you be kind and tell me what do you have set as Site Address (URL) in WP General settings? Also, have you recently moved from http to https?

    Kind Regards,
    Razvan
