Can't Drag Widgets Into Sidebars: Exceeded Memory Limit?

    Hi,

    We love CAS (v. 2.6). It’s allowed us to create several hundred sidebars for different brands we market. Eventually we plan to have 1500 sidebars.

    But recently, our widget page is very slow. And we can’t drag and drop widgets into the sidebars, resulting in debug errors like these…

    So I wonder if we have exceeded CAS’s memory limit? (Or have we exceeded WP’s memory limit? Another potentially related problem is that our theme preview doesn’t work.)

    I tried disabling most (all?) plugins, downloading Google Library, etc. But nothing worked. And 3 programmers couldn’t solve the problem.

    Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thank you!

    That is definitely a lot of sidebars.
    I am very interested in hearing more about how you manage them and if there are anything that could be improved in the UI. If you want to share that, my email is jv [at] intox.dk.

    For the problem; Content Aware Sidebars is built to be very scalable, however, it looks like the Widgets page in WordPress is having issues handling that amount.
    Without having dug more into it, I assume that the problem would be the same if all the sidebars were registered by the theme, and therefore it is not directly caused by Content Aware Sidebars.

    I will see if I can reproduce the problem and get back.
