Hello, I have been using this plugin for a while, and am very happy with it. However, I cannot copy any ‘cost calculator’ posts I create with the Bold Themes Cost Calculator, even though Bold Themes recommended this plugin. I assume it’s not possible, because I tried all the following plugins also…

    Duplicate Page – mndpsingh287
Duplicate Page & Post – Arjun Thakar
    Post Duplicator – Metaphor Creationa
Duplicate Post Page Menu & Custom Post Type – Inqsys Technology
WP Post Page Clone – Gaurang Sondagar
WP Replicate Post – Yudiz Solutions
    Post Cloner – Evan Herman
    Duplicate It – Smartzminds
WP Duplicate Posts and Pages – Louis Fico

Maybe it’s something to do with the pseudo javascript used within the forms?

My apologies! I have now found a way to do it with the cost calculator plugin (although support couldn’t tell me)..

    1) Click on ‘Copy +’ at top of the calculator you want to copy
    2) Click on ‘Add New’
    3) Click on ‘+’ sign at the top, then close the pop up. Click on ‘paste’ on top bar, and the form is pasted below
    4) Delete the top ’empty’ cost calculator.

It’s a bit clunky, so it would still be an advantage to be able to quickly duplicate it using this plugin…

    Hi @alexcz,
From what I see it’s a premium plugin so unfortunately I can’t do any tests…
Did you visit SettingsDuplicate Post, tab Permissions, and enabled the plugin for that post type?
If you did it but you still can’t see any “Clone” or “New Draft” link there’s actually a chance they’re not using the standard WordPress UI…

    Can you let me know?

Hi Lopo, yes it is a premium plugin. There is no post type for the plugin, and there wasn’t in any of the other duplicator plugins I tried. It uses short code to output the form. I’m no techie, so I don’t know if using short code means it’s not a post of any type….I suppose it must?

    Hi @alexcz,
I’m afraid they are using a post type, but hiding the standard WordPress UI to use their own. So my plugin can’t insert the links anywhere…

I suggest you should write them to add compatibility with Duplicate Post, there are some functions then can use to do that and I’m willing to help if they need.

    Sorry about that!

(I’m marking this thread as resolved since it looks like it’s not a bug or a fault from my plugin’s side…)
