    Hi,

I encounter a very problematic issue with plugin version 6.0.5.

when I try to edit an existing event (either adding / changing the featured image or modifying title or description, or any other information, in fact), the “update” button has no effect. nothing happens, page doesn’t (re-)load and event doesn’t get updated.

I’ve made sure it’s not a compatibility problem with any of my other plugins, which I de-activated one by one with no better luck, and I finally reverted to previous version of the events calendar plugin until I found one who resolved the issue, which is plugin version 6.0.3.1

Could you please ensure that the upcoming version fixes this problem, please ?
    Thanks in advance,
    eM

  • I have the same problem. Create a new Event is OK but try to edit one already created or copied then the Update Button does not do anything.

    Hey Folks!

We have a known issue like this with Firefox specifically – can I ask if you are using Firefox so I know if it’s related or something new?

    Cheers,
    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,

    YES using Firefox.

Have tried with Google Chrome and all works OK.

Hi @jupiter1955, apologies for the inconvenience here. We were able to pinpoint that specific browser shows Javascript Errors within the Venue Section, in the admin dashboard, not allowing to update the Events. We already created an internal bug ticket for this, and I added your case. Thanks for all the details. I will definitely pass it along to our devs.

I am unable to provide an exact date or time estimate for when this bug will be fixed, but you’ll be notified when there are any updates.

For now, as a workaround, you could do the following:

    1. Use Chrome Browser only for Admin Dashboard
    2. Or, Downgrade to version 6.0.2 or 6.0.3 Accessing and Installing Older Plugin Versions

    Best,
    Abz

same here, using Firefox, but will keep using it, for sure.

so as I stated before, I’m staying with plugin version 6.0.3.1 as the last one not having this bug, and will wait for a fix ! thanks

Hi @emtv, sorry to hear about this. We’re working on a fix for this one.

Please do use the last working version for you, for now. We’d be notifying you on this thread if there are updates regarding this bug ticket.

    Hang in there,
    Abz

I hope that this related. Our site has two admins.
One on Apple iPad, cannot update or edit Events I have created.
    He can do posts.
He can create his own events and edit them
I have full access to everything? He can still edit after I have edited his event? I am using the free version 6.0.6.2, Chrome Browser
Have just checked and I cannot edit events in Firefox. Update just spins and spins.
Everything was OK, but do not exactly know when it changed.

Hi @kimchloe, yes that’s definitely related to the issue on this thread. For now please use Chrome for the Admin Dashboard.

He should be able to update it on the Apple iPad using Chrome Browser. Could you try it out and see if that works?

    Hang in there,

Hi @kimchloe, that’s definitely weird might be another case, and the bug ticket #TEC-4596 here is Firefox related issue.

Could you provide me with the version of Google Chrome on the iPad and what version of iPadOS? This would help us replicate the issue here.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    iPad Air 2 OS15.7.1
    Google version 242.1.49395244
Hope this is what you require.

    Hi there,

    We’re back with good news!

Our developers have just released the Events Calendar version 6.0.7, which addresses the issue of events which have venues assigned not being able to be updated successfully on some browsers.

Please update your Events Calendar plugin to include that and other improvements over your website.

    Best regards,
