Can't Edit Gallery

  • I upgraded one of my sites to 4.0 today and now when I click on an existing gallery in one of my posts, I don’t get the edit icon or any icon for that matter. Nothing happens at all, it’s like it’s not in the post. When I display the post on my site, it appears that the gallery works fine. I just can’t edit it. Any thoughts?

    In another thread, karunaray commented “in Screen Options if you uncheck “Expand the editor to match the window height” the scrollbar will appear again.” (More detailed instructions: Click on Edit Page / Post, click on the ‘Screen Options’ pull down in the upper right, click on the “Expand the editor to match the window height” box to uncheck the box, and click on View Post / Page. The change in Screen Options will apply to all pages and posts on that WP site.)

    Just run into the same issue: unable to edit galleries in wp V 4.0 However, there is NO problem using Google chrome. All works correctly. I was using FF v 32.0.3 and then updated to the latest build 33.0 The problem Still persists. Have not tried ie as I don’t use it. It appears to be a WP/FF compatibility issue. Any comments on that one??
