quite a few strange errors that don’t really even seem consistent.

My client went in to try and update charts and graphs with new CSVs; while beginning to do so, the table disappeared from the site and wouldn’t load/update. She attempted to make a new table for that CSV but wasn’t successful in doing so. Then she tried to update other charts in the library with new data and none of them were editable… meaning you can’t click any of the options in the footer of the item.

I went in tonight to assess what was happening. I see the issue with clicking edit not functioning, but it isn’t consistent… it happens on some items and then others after a refresh.
I created a new table with the new CSV file but the preview covers up the edit buttons.
So, I created yet another table and added pagination to it before uploading the CSV thinking that would help, but then i wasn’t able to edit it after it was saved, so I couldn’t push the new CSV into the library.

Not sure what steps to take to resolve this.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

@furtherfoundation can you please provide screenshots or a screen recording so that we understand what is happening?

    Hi!

Sorry I’m just getting back to this.

    Here’s a link of a screen capture. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1sS3fA_-sJUoDBeTUhlJPCqhuUd-ix6Nc

It doesn’t show my clicks, but on a lot of the items in the library, I’m just not able to click the edit button. Nothing happens when I do so. Sometimes you’ll see that nearby type is highlighting.

On the newly uploaded table, the spreadsheet is actually overlapping the options.

Then, on the items I CAN click to edit, they get stuck in a perpetual loading loop. I can’t Cancel or back back out to the library. The only option is to use my browser’s Back button.

Thanks for your help with this.

@furtherfoundation in the ones that get stuck in the loading loop, please provide a screenshot/recording of the developer console. It seems that there is a JS error, which could be because of a conflict with another component. Please verify that you have not added a new component (plugin/theme) since you first created these charts.

@furtherfoundation All charts should be contained in their own boxes in the library. Can you also share the configuration of the tables that are going out of the boxes in the library? We would need that so that we can reproduce this scenario.

    Hello.

Not sure if this is what you need, but here’s a screenshot of what I think is the developer console on one of the stuck library items.

I’m not sure if more plugins were added after the charts were added to the site. It was one of the final elements during the build, but everything was completed nearly a year ago. I do know that I personally made updates to these charts before the site finally launched and I never ran into any of these issues during that time frame. The end-user of the site has probably NOT added any plug-ins on her own, nor have I added any since the site launch, although plenty of them have had updates.

On the other issue with the newly added table overflowing into the footer area, for some reason that has been remedied as of this morning. I made no changes to anything since the video was recorded, so I’m not sure what happened to fix the issue.
But, to answer the question, there were no settings made on that item. I had uploaded the CSV and then went back in to adjust the vertical size but couldn’t do so because the footer panel was blocked. So other than uploading the CSV, everything was still in its default state.

    Thanks again.

@furtherfoundation thanks for the information. I’ll keep this ticket open for sometime in case you run into the same issue.

Closing this assuming this is no longer an issue. Please open a new ticket if you run into this again.
