Hi – I’ve just become aware of this problem on a site that is still functioning, but I can’t edit the magic tags in Divi Builder. I use magic tags to pull in custom taxonomies on each building page. A page is created by selecting the taxonomy terms which appear on the live page through the magic tags. You can search the pages using faceted taxonomy drop downs in the side bar. The information is displaying properly on the page, but if I go into edit mode you don’t see the tags. New pages are created with a template on which the magic tags disappear. The taxonomy term selections also disappear on the Edit page.
Here’s an example. Most of these items use magic tags, but only one tag can be seen at the bottom on the list:

    Date: ?1924
    Type: ?Apartment Building
    Landmark Status:? Historic District
    Architect: ?Herts & Tallant
Fa?ade (primary material): ?Brick and Stone
    Stories: ?6
    Wish List:? [pods]{@wishlist}[/pods]`
I don’t see the tags anywhere, but they’re working.
Has something changed in recent versions of Pods I might have missed that would cause this situation? Any insight you could provide would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Deb Sher

    Hi @debsher

I think this might be a change in the BB editor since you mention it does work on the front end.
It sounds like shortcodes might be disabled for preview in the editor, could you check with the Beaver Builder team?

    Cheers, Jory

    Hi Jory –

I did check with the Divi Builder team and it has to do with their editor. I’m going to have to use the Classic Editor plugin to be able to work with the Pods magic tags, categories, etc.

    Thanks,
    Deb

    Hi @debsher

Thank you for letting us know. And sorry, I totally misread, I though you mentioned the Beaver Builder.
But yeah, unfortunately Divi is a bit limited in the use or magic tags or auto formatting.

    Cheers, Jory

Hi – I’ve been working further on the problem of not being able to edit pods magic tags in the Divi Builder. I had thought that enabling the Classic Editor plugin would solve the problem because I could see what I needed to edit using that. I realize now that the Pods and Classic Editor plugins are not compatible. If both of these plugins are enabled you can’t use most of the edit links for pages, posts, etc. Do you know of any workaround for this? I have a need for both plugins if I want to be able to work with Pods in the Divi theme…and I would guess this must be true in other themes too.
Thanks in advance for your help!
