• I need some help! Here is my situation. I accidentally upgraded to the new WordPress, and I wasn’t able to edit any of my posts or my menu. So, I went into my FTP and downloaded back to the version I was at. The problem is, now I can’t edit my main menu or erase/update any of my plugins. Whenever I try to do this, it gives me the 404 page.

Is there something that didn’t transfer to the FTP folder that would usually allow me these permissions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • upgrading does not cause this, and u may have made a syntax error somewhere…..try installing the latest wordpress and if the problem persist. flush your permalinks

    to flush your permalinks, please
    goto settings > permalinks

and select another option, besides “default”

and save changes. then set it back to defaults.

try both, and see what happens…

OK, did both and neither are working. Any other suggestions? That main problem is that I’m not able to edit my main menu.

What is your site URL? Have you tried deactivating your plugins and switching to the default theme to rule out any theme or plugin issues?
