Can’t edit pages

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thanks for your response. I tried deactivating and reactivating my plugins, but am still getting the issue. I’m now working with Elegant Themes to hopefully resolve the situation, because (as you mentioned) it may be a theme-specific issue.

@mofficestyle, I know this won’t sound helpful, but when I went back into WP one afternoon, the problem was fixed. I don’t know if that’s a result of a new update to a plugin or to my theme, or what, but for some reason I’m now able to edit pages without an issue.

@macmanx, thanks a lot. I did as you sad, deactivated all plugins (still errormsg), installed and activated twentyseventeen-theme. Unfortunately nothing helped.., still the error. I think I will completely deinstall everything and create it new.

@christineonthebrighterside, thanks for your reply. This is a really strange problem, I’m happy for you it disappeared :). So I can still pray ;-). But as I wrote.., I will make it all new. It’s time anyway for this and a chance to update things.

I too am using Elegant Themes & had the same issue with Edit Page not loading. After updating theme everything went back to normal.
