• Since upgrading WordPress to 5.2.2 I have been unable to edit PHP files in the theme editor. I get an error message that says this:

Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.

I’ve tried deactivating all my plugins, but that didn’t seem to make any difference. I am able to edit my CSS files in the theme editor no problem.

Any idea on what I should try to solve this? I am at a bit of a loss.
