• For past four days, cannot edit Pages or Posts on two devices. Goes to white screen. Otherwise, can do other Dashboard functions, such as change Appearance, etc. Was in touch with My host provider Bluehost from Saturday through Christmas day, and they updated entire site to PHP 7.0, they corrected a 500 error problem with accessing the website, but they don’t get involved with specific Dashboard functions. I have emptied the cache on these two devices. My browser is current edition Firefox. I have deleted many PlugIns that were deactivated. I have scanned using the WP PHP Compatibility PlugIn and all is good, even though I’m using the 2011 WP Theme with PHP 7.0. I was doing a lot of editing on the site on Thursday and Friday, and now suddenly, I get white screen. I have done so much checking each day on the website, upon Bluehost revisions, that I get Site Lockout Notifications from iThemes Security from time to time. But I have been able to access Dashboard for past few days, just can’t do editing, and as I say, Bluehost said contact WP……any help greatly appreciated!
    Thnx…

Errors like this (WSOD) are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Debugging_in_WordPress

You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you cannot access wp-admin, there are other ways to deactivate plugins.

Thank you, I have no idea about where to find error logs so have sent email to Bluehost again (my matter was elevated to Tier 3 yesterday). Bluehost did not have a problem in editing my Pages from their end yesterday….they showed me a minor change they made just to prove it. So, I don’t quite understand why two of my devices using Firefox and cleared caches suddenly can’t edit Pages or Posts……Frankly, I don’t know what prompted this problem, since I was able to edit as of last Friday, and this site is not new, otherwise I wouldn’t be using a Twenty Eleven Theme. I odn’t know how to enable wp_debug, other than to install a new Plug In, not sure if that’s what you meant. I can access wp-admin, since I am able to access Dashboard. Any further comments, are welcome….

Please read the links I provided.

If you try a different browser, does it work?

I tried using Edge, but still got White Page. I just found that I can access the editing Page function on an Amazon Fire tablet, although I don’t have a keyb for that device. Not sure what this means, do you? ……..any further comments welcome.

As far as the error log, BHost tells me to look in my File Manager under the directory public_html. I don’t know where File Manager is. (?) Thanks.

Have you disabled ALL PLUGINS and switched to a standard theme as I suggested above?

I chose to download Google Chrome, and for now, that is enabling me to edit the pages. For some reason, Amazon Fire and Google Chrome enabled me to access, whereas Edge and Firefox did not enable. I did not change any settings, such as disabled a PlugIn….Thank you for your help today, but I’m puzzled why with same settings, such variance with WordPress dashboard….
