Can’t edit Role or Users in Role even though I’m admin

    Hi,

    I’ve created a role called “Tax Exempt” with a custom capability of “tax_exempt”. This is for a WooCommerce site.

    Unfortunately, as the only user in the Administrator role, I can no longer edit users with the “Tax Exempt” role or edit the role. When I create other roles I have no problem. The error I receive is: “The Tax Exempt role is not editable. This means that it is most likely added via another plugin for a special use or that you do not have permission to edit it.”

    I have no idea how to troubleshoot this. Any help would be appreciated.

    ?I apologize for the delay in response.

    Could you double-check that you have the “Edit Roles” capability enabled for your own role? You can also check if you don’t have any filters to define which roles are editable.
