  • May be you have a plugin conflict with Yoast SEO. Did you try to disable one by one plugin to check?

@deepak311 Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v8.2? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Also, can you confirm you are using WordPress 4.9.8? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. Hi,

I have the same problem: it’s impossible to write anything. The only thing that can stay are the variable. So I put the variable “tagline” and wrote a new tagline for my website. Bit it appeared that Google still don’t show this description when I look after the website. The description is the excerpt of one article on the blog.

    Thank you for your help,

    Hi:

I’m working on a site built by another designer, and I don’t understand how they have Yoast set up. I still use Yoast on one or two sites and I don’t have any issues creating custom titles in those sites’ pages. On this new site, there isn’t even the option to input custom titles.

Here’s the URL – perhaps someone can be of help:

    Thanks!

    Hi All,

I’m also working on a site built by someone else. It gives me the option to edit the meta snippet, but when I do, the text doesn’t change up top and it won’t take certain letters…like the letter H doesn’t show up at all. Previous blog posts we can edit this fine.

In the analysis section, it says to make sure my SEO title and keyphrase are the same. I cannot even find the place to change my SEO title. There are many other things in the analysis that they say need correcting. After hours upon hours of working with this, I have been unsuccessful and I am computer savy. Not a very intuitive system at all.
What exactly is the slug? Is it possible to get phone help instead of being sent yet another link that doesn’t make sense?
Please advise.. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Kindest regards,
    Vince
