I’m unable to edit or create new snippets, although mere minutes before this problem occurred I was able to edit a snippet. So, it’s not a problem caused by some recent update.

When I make changes and click Update, nothing changes. Similarly, when I try to create and save a new snippet, I’m just bounced back to the creation form/screen. No snippet is created

Probably, it’s a plugin conflict. (It’s not a browser extension conflict because I tested for that.) But before I go through an arduous and all-too–common process of elimination, maybe someone can suggest a likely culprit? Like the kind of plugin that might be interfering with WPCode?

    Thanks.

    Hi @powellrichard,

That is weird, especially since you mention you were able to update or edit snippets a few minutes before.

Is it possible that something changed on your server in terms of a firewall or security restriction that may be preventing WPCode from submitting the form correctly?

You mention a potential plugin conflict but if no plugin was installed/updated between the moment saving worked and the moment it didn’t work I think it’s unlikely that is the cause.

If you have the option to set up a staging site in the same environment and test there that would be a lot faster so that you can rule out the plugins.

I have the same problem – I created one snipped but can’t add another one – after clicking Save, it returns to the main screen..

    Hi @noupe,

Thank you for sharing the screencast, it looks like there’s an issue with how the form is submitted there – I suspect it’s an edge case related to user capabilities/permissions.

Can you please reach out using the form at https://wpcode.com/contact so that we can try to look into this in more detail?

This is not resolved, sorry. But I’ve determined that the problem for me only persists if it’s a text snippet. It saves fine if the exact same content is put into an HTML snippet

It looks that text/html does not accept emoji in the code. Without special characters, I can save.

Thank you for following up here @noupe, we’ll look into why that is happening to try to fix this in the next release.
