• I can’t input nor delete characters from text boxes. This is across all browsers (tested on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge). I can paste text in from Word or Notepad however.

    For example:
    https://nast.org/affiliates/sdmn/sponsor-pages-contact/

This is a contact form 7 box, but the issue occurs in other non-cf7 text boxes.

I’ve tried searching for this problem, but can’t find any direct comparisons already on the forums. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Hi, jdawson1989, & welcome to the WordPress support forum. First, thank you so very much for providing a link to your site. You have no idea how much it helps to speed up diagnosis of problems like yours.

My first thought is that you’re using a home-grown theme. Please try using a default theme, i.e., 2016, & see if the problem resolves. If not, then please try deactivating your plugins (you can just put a 1 at the end of the plugins folder, i.e. wp-content/plugins1 & see if that resolves the difficulty. If it does, then please rename the plugins folder to plugins but append a 1 to every plugin folder except for 1–Akismet would be a good candidate, as it’s basically a core plugin–then 1 by 1 rename a plugin folder back to its original, log in, & see if you can edit. You’ll find the plugin conflict when you rename a plugin to the proper name & the editing function breaks.

Please let us know whether or not that helped.
