Once the plugin is installed, you can enable coming soon mode and it works, but I cannot edit the message box – you can’t set the cursor into it, nor just type into it. If you take the link button and follow its dialog to create a link, it doesn’t paste it into the message area either. I disabled security, yoast, and other plugins I thought might conflict, but it didn’t help. I deactivated and reactivated, uninstalled/deleted and reinstalled too, but it didn’t help. I’ve used the plugin on another site and really like it – any suggestions?

This typically means another plugin or the theme is conflicting. Disable any other plugin and test, if it’s still not working switch to the default theme. Basically just use process of elimination to determine which plugin or theme is conflicting.

Let me know if you find the cause.

It took a while, but I found it – it’s Forget About Shortcode Buttons Version 2.1.0, By Designs & Code. I’m not using that plugin right now so it’s not an issue for me to deactivate it. Thank you very much for responding so quickly!

Great! Glad you found it and thanks for reporting back!

I am having the same issue, something in Jetpack is interfering but cannot work out which part :/

It’s a brand new install of WordPress, have you come across Jetpack stopping the text box input? If so do you know which setting causes it?

    Thanks for any info

    Hi Steve,

It’s jetpacks contact form module , they are aware and a ticket has been opened. If you disable that module it will work fine.

That’s great – Thanks for the info ??
