Can’t edit the short description in ‘visual’

    Hi,
    I am adding a product but I can’t edit the short description in the visual editor, just in the text editor, and after I do that, it does not show up in the visual editor either….
    I already tried switching my theme and deactivating some plugins, didn’t help
    Also tried both setting in product editing mode in the settings, (the classic editor and the blocks) neither works…

    Any idea what this might be? Do you need any other info?

    Update: after switching between settings, now suddenly it does work as expected!

    Update: I thought the issue was resolved, but unfortunately it returned!
    I can’t edit the short description of a product in the visual editor.

    Do you see any error? What happens when you try to edit it?

    Hi,
    no I don’t see an error, and basically nothing happens, where something should happen.
    I just can’t click and type in the visual editor of the short description.
    I can edit it in the text editor of the short description, but if I then switch to the visual editor I see nothing there. It does appear on the site if I add something throught te text editot, but I would reall prefer not to have to use the text editor (especcially when the client needs to add stuff themselves).

    What I haven’t tried yet is another browser. Let me check that!

    Thank you. What is your WordPress and PHP version?

    Are you using the latest version of the eCommerce Product Catalog plugin?

    Okay:
    the problem occurs in both Firefox and Safari.
    in Chrome no problem!

    WordPress version: 6.1.1
    PHP version: 8.1.17
    eCommerce Product Catalog version: 3.3.10

    additional info:
    If I go to the text editor, then reload the page, then go to visual editor, in this specific sequence I do see something in the visual editor and I can edit there as well.
    If I update the product, still no problem, if I reload the page: the visual editor is broken again.
    I can go to text editor again, reload page, back to visual editor, and it works again…

    Really strange, and not really nice to work like that.

    Really hoping you can fix this, Please???

    I even bought a premium addon to make this plugin work the way I need, but without being able to edit the short description this plugin is not workable! The bug has nothing to do with the addon by the way: the bug exists even if I deactivate every plugin except the eCommerce Product Catalog Plugin

    I have 1 addon, and the issue is not related to the addon.

    Premium Support comes with every addon.

    I tested it on Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, and it works fine for me on all of them. Without reproducing the error, I cannot help through the forum. It would be great if you could contact us directly so we can check why it happens only on your configuration.
