  • Hello @mikehende,

    The photo you provided doesn’t appear to be the header of the site. The picture looks like you’re using the Gutenberg editor and the image is in the content of the page. The Kadence header uses the header builder in the Customizer.

    I visited your site and saw the image in the content is a standard Gutenberg Image bock. The image shows a graphic that says “warning” and has some other text. I reviewed the HTML source, and it doesn’t have alt text like you mentioned. Is this the image you’re talking about? If so, the Kadence theme does not affect the image alt text. You may need to find support from the WordPress community. Alternatively, you can use the Kadence Blocks plugin to access the Image (Adv) block for Kadence support.

    Hey Gilbert how’s it going, been a while. Yes, thx. I see not that is in the content and not the header but how can i fix that content issue please?

    Also, as this screenshot of the image in the ML shows, the Alt info is there so why the error?

    Hello @mikehende,

    I tested the standard Gutenberg Image block and everything worked as expected. The alt text was in the content when the image was added. However, I added an image without alt text, then I updated the alt text in the media library, and viewed the content on the front end. In that case, the alt text was missing even though the alt text was in the media libarary.

    To solve the problem, please replace the image with itself to update the alt text.

    Thx, will replace the image then do the alt text but what can I do about editing the text to the left of the image please?

    Hello @mikehende,

    Besides the problem with the alt text, I see now that the screenshot shows the heading can’t be previewed. Unfortunately, the image doesn’t provide enough information to determine the problem. You could replace and recreate the block from scratch if the original block broke. Do all new Text (Adv) blocks have the problem? Beyond that, are there console errors when the problem occurs?

    Sorry for the late response. No only this block shows that error. Looking at Console errors this is some of what I am seeing:

    Regarding recreating that block, I don;t know how to do so to get the same background color and text and image layout, any instructions or video for this please?

    Hello @mikehende,

    The block is the Advanced Text block. There isn’t a background image or color. I reviewed the CSS. You can use the block settings to set the styles below. I recommend this route as the error codes still do not provide enough information to identify the problem.

    font-size: 48px;
    line-height: 55px;
    font-weight: normal;
    color: #ffffff;
    text-shadow: 1px 1px 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);
    margin-bottom: 5px;

    Thanks for the help and link to the tutorial but I am trying but don;t know how to add the Advanced text blog to the page?

    When I click anywhere on the page in edit mode the ‘plus’ sign does not show for me to select the Advanced Text option? I am trying to click on the spot under existing block. I notice that on the entire page, clicking either below or on top of any of the existing blocks [section], the plus sign does not show.

    Hello @mikehende

    Search for “Text” to find the blue “Text (Adv)” block. You can use the List View to see and move the blocks on your page. https://learn.www.ads-software.com/tutorial/how-to-use-the-list-view/

    Thanks but I tried clicking on the blue + sign on top left and searching for ‘text’ then drag the Advanced text to under the current block and not working.

    Regarding the video and using the list view, sorry I am not understanding. To clarify again on what I am attempting to do. I am trying to add the Advanced Text block in the area shown here:

    https://i.postimg.cc/jS3kPKkB/area.png

    so I can re-create the problem block above it. I am not understanding how to use the list view to get the Advanced text block in that specific area shown in my screenshot, can you screenshot the steps from the list view for me please?

    Hello @mikehende

    According to your screenshot, you are facing an error, “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”

    Are you facing this issue with all Kadence Blocks or just the Advanced Text block?

    I wasn’t able to replicate this issue on my test website.  Check the screen recording for reference: https://share.zight.com/xQuoKZzD

    Below, I will provide you with some initial troubleshooting steps to complete. Please try completing all the steps and see if they resolve the issue on your website.

    1. Can you ensure everything on your website is up-to-date? Such as your WordPress VersionTheme, and Plugins. Can you also try clearing your Website and Browser Cache to see if this resolves the issue?
    2. Whenever the?Block?Encounters?an?Error, can you check for?Console Logged Errors? Please send us any?error(s)?you may receive.

      Can you also check your?WordPress?Error?Logs? Some hosts offer a built-in way to see the?WordPress?Error?Logs. If your host doesn’t have a built-in error log, you can manually enable and view your?WordPress?Error?Logs?by following?This Guide.?Please also send us any?error(s)?you may receive here.?
    3. You may have a Plugin Conflict on your website. You can use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to check for Plugin Conflictshttps://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/troubleshooting/temporarily-deactivating-plugins/. You can put your website into troubleshooting mode. This deactivates your current theme and plugins. Then, you can activate everything back one by one. Each time you activate something, test the issue and see if it occurs. Once the problem occurs after activating a particular plugin, then that plugin is the cause of the conflict. Please let us know if you find a Plugin Conflict on your website.
    4. Can you also go to your Dashboard → Tools → Site Health and see if you have any Site Issues here?

    5. Additionally, can you go over and complete all of the remaining steps in this Troubleshooting Article? Thanks!

    I hope this information was helpful to you. Please let us know if any of the steps above work for you or if we can further help.

    Best Regards,
    Archita
