    Dear wordpress nextgen developpers

    I have a strange problems with editing thumbnails. It first appears on a website, that I am just creating.

    A few general Infos, first:

    using WordPress 6.3.1

    On Bluehost

    Nextgen gallery 3.39

    Problem: After editing the thumbnails, in the backend (within the plugin), the thumbnails appears updated (e.g. new cropping), on the site, no change at all is visible.

    First time that I encounter this problem with ngg.

    I’ve tried many things:

    e.g. I had a ngg galery on another website installed. No problem at all on this website with editing the thumbnails. Then I realised that I used another version of ngg. an older version who had (strangely enough) a higher version number…

    it was 3.8.

    I thought, okay, might be a buck in the new version. So I installed the old version to the new website, . 3.8.

    No change! same problem. Then I updated again on 3.39 – because this was not the solution. This time I am on Bluehost, (normally other providers used). Can it be a problem with the server? What kind of other problem could it be? Solutions? Any ideas? Also deleted contents of the cache via purge cache… no change.

    Thank you for your suggestions

    Hi @wolkenunddreck,

    Thanks for the details. Please access your site’s “Dashboard -> NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Miscellaneous -> Clear image cache” then delete your site’s cache again and hard reload the gallery page to see if that’ll load the new cropped thumbnails.

    Thank you for the reply – unfortunately – I tried this several times – no changes! Still the “old” cropping- any other ideas?

    Hi there –

    I can hardly believe it, but this problem was in a way non existing. My Firefox Browser was showing an old version of the website, no matter how often I told him to update and I’ve never tested another browser, because the site was still in the “coming soon status” and I edited it with Firefox. sometimes it can be stupid! Thanks anyway for your support!
