Can't Edit Thumbnails with WordPress 4.4

Like many others have said in this thread, I’m unable to edit thumbnails after updating to WordPress 4.4. The problem remains after turning off all other plugins and reverting to the Twenty Fifteen and Twenty Fourteen themes.
I also installed the plugin on a fresh install of WP on a different site (using Twenty Fifteen) with no other plugins installed. The editing options are missing when going to Manage Galleries and opening the Gallery.
