When I try to edit a WordPress page, I get a blank page. Nothing shows up. If I do a Quick Edit, I can edit that basic info. However, if I just click Edit, I get a blank page.

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Nineteen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

You don’t give much information (like what WordPress version or which editor), but you might find something useful in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-5-0-master-list/

OK, I activated Health Check and started enabling plugins. When I enabled civicrm, I started getting the blank-page-on-edit problem. When I tried to disable civicrm, I get

When disabling the plugin, civicrm, a site failure occurred. Because of this the change was automatically reverted.

I updated other plugins earlier today, but not civi. Any suggestions on how to figure out what is causing the problem?

I’m using WordPress 4.9.9 and the editor is WPBakery Page Builder.

In that case, I recommend reporting the issue to CiviCRM: https://civicrm.org/help

I’ll try civicrm.org. Usually they send me back to WordPress. Thanks.

Yeah, it’s really not WordPress’s job to make sure that CiviCRM’s product works in WordPress. ??

For some reason they don’t seem to think it’s their job either. I did find that civi is throwing an exception, so hopefully that’s enough to get them to help. Thanks, James!
