• This problem may be a bug in woocommerce itself, because the behavior with the Bulk Discount plugin occurs when there are many variations and even with the bulk discount plugin deactivated, woocommerce behaves incorrectly with many variations.

    Here is what I did:

created a varible product with 3 attributes:
    -color 7 values
    -attribute2 2 values
    -attribute3 3 values
for a total of 42 combinations

did a link all variations to create 42 variations and did an update to save everything. Then tried to drag the top variation to the bottom of the list and clicked update. The move did not stick; the variant remained where it was before the move.

Through trial and error I found that by removing 5 of the 42 variations, drag and drop of variations worked properly.

The bulk discount plugin was then reactivated (all other plugins turned off) and globally enabled in the woo settings. Then on the product page I enabled bulk discount for the product and added a discount line and saved the product page. I went went back to the bulk discount settings I’d made and everything was as I left it.

Then I did a “link all variations” to add in the 5 variations I had removed. Thereafter, any changes I made to the bulk discount settings in the product page would not stick after saving the product. Only by removing 5 variations again would it resume working.

This is a pretty serious issue as it is likely to affect a lot of people with multiple variations in their products.

Also reported a bug against woocommerce plugin https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/cant-drag-and-drop-product-variations-anymore?replies=1. That was 2 weeks ago with no developer response. I wonder if they care….

(edited) Disregard my post below the double line. It was a checkbox I did not have checked that resolved this in the plugin’s Settings. Thank you! Fixed!

Add me to this list. I sell t-shirts… If a customer orders 30 or more shirts (in various sizes) I’d like to apply a discount. Currently, it only applies a quantity discount on one size (variation)– in other words a customer must order 30 large shirts to get a discount…but my customers are ordering 3 smalls, 5 mediums, 15 larges, 10 XL, 5 2X, etc. I want to give them an incentive to accumulate 30 t-shirts to get the discount. Help!

Ducksportsfan: I think you have a different issue altogether. I think yours is a configuration issue. In the woocommerce settings under bulk discount, make sure you have “Treat product variations separately” unchecked. This causes the bulk discount counts to occur across all variations within a product, whereas if you have it checked it will behave as yours seems to be.

BTW, I have just uninstalled this plugin because of lack of support. I am handling bulk discounts manually at this point until something better crosses my path.

Thank you for the suggested help, John. You are correct, sir. I needed to uncheck “Treat product variations separately”. I’m in business, now.

    Thanks again!
