    Hi!

    I have a problem with my wordpress site, that i cant enter “plugins” in my admin panel. When i click to manage my plugins, the page only turns white, but the URL is as it should be (/wp-admin/plugins.php).

    I first thought the problem was the plugin “Redirection” (which manages all my affiliate links), so i removed it through my CP-panel. However the problem is still the same.

    I contacted my web host, but they said that “the file have been corrupt or something, it contains no data”.

    I dont know really what they ment with this, but they said i should try to get help here instead on the wordpress forums.

    Im not an expert in the area myself, so i really appreciate if someone here have any idea of what may cause this problem?

    Kind regards
    Christopher

  • Have you tried resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin?

    I contacted my web host, but they said that “the file have been corrupt or something, it contains no data”.

    They mean ‘upload new files’. You need to re-upload your core WP files– everything except wp-contents, basically.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

    Im trying to follow “esmis” advice to start with, but its one thing im quite unsure about.

    On the WordPress-instructions-page they say the following;

    Use phpMyAdmin

    * In the table wp_options, under the option_name column (field) find the active_plugins row
    * Change the option_value field to: a:0:{}“

    But which one is the field i should type “a:0:{}”?

    I have attached an image link to my php admin panel (look below), where i guess this (“a:0:{}”) should be entered, but i wonder wich field? I dont want to do anything wrong, so if anyone could describe exactly which field i should enter the text/numbers i would be thankfull.

    Kind regards
    Christopher

    ‘option_value’ just like is says in the instructions: “* Change the option_value field to: a:0:{}”
