Can't Exclude Page with no ID# in Pages Widget

Hi Esmi.

This does not work.

If I go to PAGES and select the PAGE I need the ID for, I get the first screenshot and there is no place to get an ID.

If I add a false title to the post and click Save, I get the screenshot and if you hover over the Title in here (“title”) you do not get any page ID.

Also, if you look in the place where the PAGE ID is for all the other pages there is no ID. On /all/ my other pages this is shown under “Permalink:” at the top just under the title but as you can see from the screenshots it is not showing a PAGE ID for this page. On this Page you /can/ see the Page ID but on the page I am having a problem with you cannot. This means that this page has to show up on all my Page Widgets since I have no way of excluding it with a Page ID.

Also, if I go BACK to the Page Edit page, and hover over the fake title (“title”) in there – it just gives me an option to “Edit”.

Thank you so much!!

I d/l-d the Simply Show ID’s and it was able to show me this hidden ID. It also very neatly and nicely add the ID’s to all the pages all the way on the right hand side in the consolidated list of Pages. It is quite a compact and useful plugin so a big thank you to Esmi and a shout out to Matt Martz.

I highly recommend it to anyone needing this for a hidden page but the ability to see all of them together at once is really awesome and very welcome.
