• I have an issue where i can’t expand the dashboard menu.

It only happens in one site and only if i’m logged in as myself If i login as another user it toggles open and closed just fine.

The issue is apparent both chrome and FF and persists even after clearing out my browser cache.

Im stuck- Any thoughts as to what might be at play here?

    Thanks

  • This usually only happens if the HTML code is not loaded completely when the page is loaded. In this case, a server-side error probably occurred. The reason for the error should be visible in the error log. You can find it in your hosting area. If necessary, the support of your hosting can help you.

Alternatively, you could also enable debugging in WordPress. How to do this is described here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ – also here the support of your hosting can help you if necessary to edit the file accordingly.

In both cases you should be able to see what the cause is in the logfile.

Thanks for your input. However nothing appears in debug or in the server error log. I appears to be related only to my login . If i change to another user with the same role on the same machine the menu expands fine- If i change back to me , it doesn’t expand

Then you may lack the authorizations to access the menu item. Are you an administrator or editor?

I’m admin yes- I’m the sites sites webmaster and there are several other admins None of them have the issue- and as mentioned when i login as one of them the issue isn’t present
