Can’t export my database

  • Hello,

    I want to export my database from phpmyadmin, but when I click on “Export”, it just open it on phpmyadmin.

    I am on mamp.

    Can you help me with this issue?

  • This is not a problem of WordPress, rather of your hosting, even if it is local. Why do you want to export them? If necessary, you can also enable what you want to achieve with a WordPress plugin.

    It’s not a WordPress related query. But here is the quick steps.

    1. Select your WordPress database in the left navigation menu on phpmyadmin.
    2. Select the “Export” menu item.
    3. On the resulting page, select the “Quick” export method and the “SQL” output format.
    4. Click “Go”.
