Can’t figure out how to change a color in one of my themes

    Hi – all, for the life of me I can’t figure out how to change a particular color in one of the themes. It’s currently implemented on:

    https://www.davidchomusic.com

    It’s the sidebar color #d4dfe9, and I can’t locate it on any of the CSS or the other PHP codes for some reason [it’s an enigma, unless I’m missing something obvious here].

    Anyone have any insights? Please advise, thx!

    I too was stumped many times when I first embarked on learning how to create themes by dissecting others. ??

    The background colour of both your content and sidebar is determined by the same background image – mainbck.gif – which is called in the style sheet. Look in your image folder for it. It’s a repeating image only 1px in height so you may want to zoom in on it with your favourite image editor.

    Yep. It’s an old workaround from the WP 1.2 days. At least that’s when I saw it most used. If you use Firefox, you can get the Web Developers extension. With that you can do all sorts of troubleshooting, including dissecting all the images on a particular page.
