Here is my scenario, I’m quite familiar with wordpress, I’ve created many websites using wordpress, so I’m quite befuddled about my issue.

I created this website a while ago now…
    maybe 6 months to a year ago…

    Website: https://bndcreations.ws

As you can see, its fully functional on the front end
but now the website can’t find any of the admin pages..

It’ll allow me to login but doesn’t redirect to the
admin control panel, then after visiting my website
it’ll show the admin banner, & says I’m logged in
but the site wont let me do anything on the back end

Here is how I got into this scenario…

    Everything was cool, working normally

I went to login, do updates, edit & create more content
I believe I was running wp 3.8.2, & I went to do update all
(I had like 40 updates to do, between plugins & themes)
*not to mention the core update*

    – It updated basically everything but the native themes
that comes with wordpress by default, over the years

    – It wouldn’t let me update to 4.0.1

*I was getting file permission errors for those updates, only the native wp themes & core update, & listed all the files that didn’t have the right CHMOD permission codes*

At that time, the admin back end was still working,
I just had like 3 updates, & like I said before
I believe it was wp 3.8.2

I did add in the UpDraft/Backup plugin,
& ran a backup of everything, content & db
& had it uploaded to my dropbox,
let it successfully complete the backup,
of content & database before continuing
    to fix the permission errors

Then I went in & changed the
CHMOD to the folders that the list was included,
    which was /wp-admin & /wp-includes

Screenshot of CHMOD Permissions within Filezilla

    What I did exactly was…

    Change the Permissions of
/wp-admin to 777, including all sub folders & files
/wp-includes to 777, including all sub folders & files
/wp-content to 755, including all sub folders & files

Went to login & all hell broke lose,
after trying to do core 1 click update
    after changing the folder/file permissions,

That is when my issue started…

Then after about a hour of research I found out
some information but not everything to resolve it
within my own research so I’m reaching out to the community

I saw it could a .htaccess error.. so I changed
mine to their recommendation, & CHMOD’d it to 644
(which didn’t negatively effect the site)
    – At least not from what I see, the front end still works
but it didn’t resolve my issue

Here is what my .htaccess file looks like
    .htaccess Screenshot

I saw it could a wp-config.php error so
    I CHMOD’d it to 600, but couldn’t find
the SITENAME code line they where talking about
to make sure it has the website url formatted properly

My website fully works on the front end like I’ve been saying,
but when it comes to the admin/back end of it,
It’s useless, I can’t do anything, no further updating,
not even adding pages or posts

I’ve been into web development for a long time,
    since I was a little kid/early teenager,
& this website is for a client of mine,
it’s actually my parent’s business website
so I really need to resolve this ASAP.

Currently I’m doing Social Media marketing for the website,
but I really need to do house keeping & do
    continual updating/adding content & features…
before I go full on with the Social Media Marketing

    Can anyone help me?

    *Please No Thread Hi-Jackers,
if you have the same problem
    wait till it’s resolved,
so you can follow the directions
it took to resolve or start your own thread,
    please don’t spam my thread*

    Thank you,
    Christopher Clemons

PS. I really appreciate anyone who trys to help

As you can see, I’ve took a lot of time to write this thread
I’ve been very clear about my issue
without all of the ambiguous bs I’ve seen on other threads
formatted, showed screen shots, explained issue,
& went through step-by-step things that
    landed me into this issue

I did all of this in hopes of resolving this issue, ASAP
without taking up too much time of anyone
who might have a clue on how to help
With the time waits inbetween advice & action
