Can’t find broken google analytics code on site
-
Hello,
I have duplicate google analytics on my account. I can find one tracking code in php where I placed it. The other code is broken and not tracking but I have viewed page sources and everywhere I can think of and can’t find that broken code. Tag manager shows that I have duplicate code, when I go to google analytics only one code is tracking and I want to remove broken code. Where do I go to find this code and remove it?
backgroung on this issue. I have updated so many themes and plugins over past few months and code may have been dropped in that way originally. It stopped tracking when I had my server redirect ip addresses and they reset so many things and won#t help me figure out this analytics code. I lost hundreds of page views. I use an on page tracker from revolver maps so I can see when people are visiting site but not showing up in real time in google analytics. When I placed the duplicate code on the site in the footer just to test google analytics real time was tracking correctly. Basically there is a broken google analytics code somewhere hidden in my site and I want to remove it but don’t know how. Can you please help me?
