• Hi guys-
I’ve been finding a ton of pages on how to access theme files, but I need to know where my page files are.

I have several pages on my site with email signup forms that the template created for me, though the text inside varies from page to page. I need to insert a bit of code that helps me track which form on which page a signup came from so I can evaluate marketing strategy. Each opt-in box has a unique bit of code.

So it isn’t the theme I need to edit, but the page-secific code.

Am I so clueless about php structure that I don’t know what I need, or can someone kindly explain to me where WP goes to read what text to put in my cute little opt-in forms?

    Thanks.

  • This depends on how your theme was built. And page code is theme code. What theme are you using or is it custom? Could you post a link to your site since it’s difficult to understand how your site is working without actually seeing it.

Without seeing your web site and without knowing which theme you are using, it is extremely difficult to figure out which file(s) you need to edit.

Provide a link to your web site for a page with the form on it and provide the theme name and a link to the theme you are using for your web site.

    Wow, you guys are awesome.

    I’m using OptimizePress 2: https://www.optimizepress.com

One of the pages I need to edit is here:
    https://thrivingdiabetics.com/ebook-ffd-phys-1a/

Another is the blog, and in this theme the blog follows global settings, different than the page above:
    https://thrivingdiabetics.com/blog/

Thanks for your willingness to help.

    With gratitude,
    Matthew

OptimizePress is a premium theme. We cannot see the theme files.

They have their own support page. Have you opened a ticket with them?

Yep, thanks – they keep answering around my question without answering it, frustratingly enough. I think I might have to consider an alternative solution. Thanks for your reply.

You can’t get to the pages with edit pages on the dashboard?

When I follow the edit link I get a page with a Quick page/Post Redirect panel, and SEO, Publish, Page Attributes and Featured Image panels. There is nothing that remotely looks like a way to access the code let alone edit it…..
