Can't find link to blog

I’ve been using wordpress for about an hour now.

I installed the site. Wrote a couple posts. Everything looks nice.

I go to my homepage and try to add a link to the blog. WordPress is installed on https://www.mysite.com/wordpress directory

I try linking to https://www.mysite.com/wordpress/index.php

It just takes me back to https://www.mysite.com

I’ve read a lot of documentation. This can’t be a tough setting to change. However, I’m not finding anything. Probably because it is such a simple question. Any help?
