• Im trying to find where my blog has gone to and it is no where??
i have tried numerous variations of passwords/usernames and nothing comes up??
i have a domain name and hosting and when you type in my domain name, it comes up with an error…

i have also sent the following email to Domain Central (who my domain is hosted with and pointed to my blog).. but really no point in asking them, if i can’t even find my blog at wordpress really????

    Hi..
i was wondering if someone could please kindly help me out???
ive put it off and put it off, but would really like to get to the bottom of it…

i had a wordpress blog for my photography, domain hosted with Little Host Hero, but re-directed to here..
i think when i was away a while ago and i missed the payment for the new year (?) my ‘account’ was disconnected??… i then paid the invoice on return.
I asked Little Host Hero about the redirection of my domain to Domain Central and they said it was all fine there end…
Now when i look for my blog, it is no where to be found and when i click on the log in link, it tells me the server can not be found????

is there any way i can be helped from this end on what & how to fix it???
    thankyou…

thankyou for any help, i would really appreciate it…
    Peta Eyeington…

P.s.. it makes it really hard when there isn’t a contact/support team you can email and inquire.. I had to sign in with a new account/password to even do this, as it’s not recognizing my old sign-in’s at all either??!! :o( very disappointed…

Do you mean a wordpress.COM blog?

www.ads-software.com is for the software and support for self-hosted WordPress installs. Your install would be located on your domain. There’s no number, no email, no support save the volunteers.

If you hosted on wordpress.com that’s a different story.

    What’s your domain name?

oh thankyou so much for you help..
it really does not help that i (virtually) have no idea what im doing.. *sigh*

    it is a www.ads-software.com blog
i have contacted who i am hosting through, but have not heard from them as yet… I’ll email them again…

    my domain name is… petaeyeington.com.au

    thankyou again.. muchly appreciated..
    Peta…

Firefox can’t find the server at petaeyeington.com.au.

Have you only just registered this domain?

    Thread Starter Peta Eyeington

    (@peta-eyeington)

no, it’s been registered for a while now…
ive just found out it isn’t hosted with domain, but actually with siteground..
i have emailed them to see what the go is, but im not holding my breath..
ive just logged into the cpanel, but i don’t really know what im looking for/at, so that doesn’t help much…

You probably need to point the domain name at your hosting space. Did you purchase hosting from siteground as well?

    Thread Starter Peta Eyeington

    (@peta-eyeington)

    it should of been..

ive just heard back from siteground, saying it’s not pointing at them blah blah blah…

my domain is with one and my hosting is with another (bad mistake, i was scammed by someone i think??!!)
so after about 6mths of stress with it all, i am trying to resolve it and i think its even more stressful.. haha if possible…

ive emailed where my domain is from with the NS records and see what happens now..

    thankyou…

    bad mistake

Not necessarily. Many site owners deliberately chose to keep their domains separate from their hosting. Think “eggs and basket”. ?? Once the name servers have been correctly updated, you should be able to access your site via your domain name but do give it 24 hours or so after the changes have been made. It can take a while to propagate,

    i just received this email… <3

    Hi Peta,

Wow sorry to hear you have had so many issues. I feel so bad for you, being scammed is just awful.

I have no idea what happened but I saw that we changed the nameservers on July 29th however when I just looked at your record I can see they have somehow have been changed. I’ve put them back to siteground for you & your blog is back.

If there is anything I can do to help let me know

    Regards,
    Michelle

Well that would explain your problems! Give it a day or so and your blog should be back as if nothing happened.

i can’t believe the trouble i have gone through and got into, over all this…
and it isn’t even that worthy of it really…

i have no idea what my log in & password details now, after all that..
cricky, it’s been a rollercoaster right..

thankyou so much for your help AND reading my whinging… ??

    thankyou…

Well here’s the good news. Your login ID is ‘peta’ (which I verified by telling it I’d lost peta’s password) and that should be emailed to you momentarily.

If you DO NOT get the email, however, you’ll need to use one of the methods here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Resetting_Your_Password

I can’t see my blog. I only can see Index and wordpress these two words only. I am trying to delete index.html but I dont have that file so is there anybody can help me thank u so much.
