Can’t find my new .ORG blog anymore

At the very least, you need to point your domain’s name servers to your host’s name servers.

Consult your host for what their name servers are…then visit your domain registrar to make those name server changes.

Remember once you make the change it could take hours to days to resolve that name server change.

I think that is all done already…I could get into https://www.deborahrutter.com/wp-admin yesterday once or twice, but then I think I made a mistake and wen into the domain part and changed the address, which is why I now go to https://www.wordpress.com when I type in the above admin login.

I think that someone with rights I don’t have need to go into my admin in secret-squirrel fashion and turn off the re-direct to the .com worepress site. Does that make sense?

You need to speak with whoever hosts your domain name.

What do I ask them? It worked before, and know I get kicked out to https://www.wordpress.com homepage. What should I ask them, or what should they look for? I am stumped.

Ask them if they can check that your domain is correctly pointed at your hosting provider’s name servers.

I just looked at https://www.deborahrutter.com and it is still redirecting to my ADMIN homepage, even though the IE browser bar says deborahrutter.wordpress.com (no admin extension).

How could that be?

You domain https://www.deborahrutter.com seems to be pointed to the hostmonster.com name servers.

Do you have a redirect in place at hostmonster, or a plugin.

Also might make sure your WordPress and Blog address URL are correct–it may be necessary to use phpMyAdmin to verify/fix the siteurl and home values in your wp_options tabe–see https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

I do have a redirect…deborahrutter.com goes to deborahrutter.wordpress.com. And it DOES work..it just shows the blog + the admin menus.

Both WP and BLOG address are correct, that’s why I am baffled…I used phpMyAdmin earlier today to check that out, too, via some direct instruction w/tech support and HostMonster…when I got the place to check the URL, it was right on…

Hence, my confusion

Is it possible that I am the only one seeing the ADMIN login menus since I am the administrator, and no one else sees that?

Hard to say what’s happening with the redirect in place.
