• Hello, I had a wordpress site called bodypreserver.com that was hosted by hostgator. I haven’t actually posted on the site in a couple of years but wanted access to my admin page to get content and pics and possibly relaunch it. When contacting the host, they informed that I would need to come here since this is who I was accessing my site through. How do I go about getting back into my admin page?

We only develop and support the software here, we don’t host your site or provide access to it.

You’ll need to get in touch with HostGator to ensure that your files are still there and the domain name is properly directed to them.

Ok. But I would access my admin page through wordpress though. Is that not do-able?

Ah, I think you might have us confused with https://wordpress.com/ which does offer that functionality.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com are two different entities: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WordPress_vs_WordPress.com

If your site was hosted on WordPress.com, you’ll need to contact their support at https://support.wordpress.com/

If your site was self-hosted, but still managed through WordPress.com by way of Jetpack, you’ll still need to get in touch with your hosting provider about where your site went overall. If your self-hosted site is not online and publicly accessible, there’s no way to manage it through WordPress.com.
