• I finally had to pay someone, again, to fix a fatal error on my site. I’m nearly broke and broken by this. I still can’t edit the Courses and Classes page because when I go into the backend, there’s literally nothing there but a bit of code. I imagine I have to edit the sliders or something else obscure that doesn’t make sense to me but I’ve been into nearly every one of the 32 pages published and none of them, literally none, have the text I want to edit. What is going on? Please help. I guess I’m going to have to get more paid help but this is a nightmare because everyone who ‘helps’ just adds to the problems.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

-can you share an example of the text you want to change on a specific page?

-it seems like your site has Elementor page builder plugin installed. do you think the plugin’s operation might be involved in the situation that is causing your concern?

-is this the theme you purchased?

    Dear Lisa,

Thanks so much for getting back. One of the pages I want to change is the Classes and Courses page. I want to update this to show what I’m now teaching. I want to change the three different offerings. I want to change the images. I can’t see anywhere to do this. I’ve deactivated Elementor and WPBakery but it’s still impossible to find the text or images I want to change. All that comes up is a bit of code and some metadata. I can screenshot the backend if you like. This is the code (I don’t do code):
    [vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1482472453642{padding-bottom: 80px !important;}”][vc_column][gymedge-vc-class layout=”grid_nopag” grid_item_number=”3″ image_size=”0″ slider_nav=”false” slider_autoplay=”false” slider_loop=”false”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

I see you have shared the WPBakery shortcode.

Are you using a plugin to handle your courses or is it something-built in to the theme.

If you can screenshot the backend that might help but the best guidance will be from the theme support team who knows the project best. (volunteers on this forum do not have access to purchased themes) Have you asked for support directly from the theme support team for gymedge?

Were the 2 page builders (WPBakery and Elementor) part of the package for the GymEdge theme?

Are you trying to change the “post image” for the individual “classes”?
Are you trying to add new “classes”?
Are the “classes” a custom post type created by your theme?

    Thanks, Lisa.
Are you using a plugin to handle your courses or is it something-built in to the theme = I don’t understand the question. I seem to be using WP Bakery by default.
I contacted Gymedge. They said that because I didn’t purchase the product, they can’t help.
I eventually got someone to walk me through some of the backend. He told me that the courses and classes page could only be changed by going to classes. All news to me. All good now – well, kind of – but still won’t update on friend’s browser, still not working in the link on my Google plus page. I’ll persevere.
    Best,
    Lucy
