    How do I refund a completed/ cancelled order?

    I was helping a customer (my mother) process my first live order on my website. She had trouble so I was entering it for her.

    After completing the order I realized I had actually ordered 2 of the item instead of 1 so I was trying to correct that. I tried several things including cancelling the order but have never seen a refund button anywhere. It simply is not on the screen where several help pages indicate it should be.

    I tried setting the status of the order back to pending payment but still no refund button.

    All indications are that the order was fully processed successfully.

    How do I refund a completed/ cancelled order?

    Hi @bobyon,

    There should be a “Refund” button on your admin edit order page as you can see on this screenshot:

    Consult the documentation or support of your payment gateway on whether manual refunds are available. If you’re sure a manual refund is available but the button is not there and the order status is “Completed”, try to disable all plugins except WooCommerce and temporarily change the theme to Storefront. Check if it appears now.
