Hi, I have just uploaded WP to my ftp, with the aim of creating a blog to my “old” website, and the upload is seemingly successful.

But now I can’t find anywhere to log in to wp (wp-admin) …
When I type in https://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin , my “old” website shows up in full, but no sign of any wordpress login …?

In the ftp, I have not named the right hand side “remote site:/”. Is this connected to the error?
I have created a folder called /blog under the remote site, and in this all the WP-files are stored.

    Can someone guide me..?

(My “old” website is made with another template)

    thanks,
    alo

Thank you, but my website just shows up again, without any sign of wp-login.. I discovered that no matter what signs or words I write behind my website address, it shows up ‘as it is’ over again.

    Any other suggestions, anyone?

    Thank you,
    alo

    I’m confused..
you uploaded the files to https://www.mywebsite.com/blog ? did you created database in your panel ? did you created the folder like “/blog” or “blog” ?
    Please provide more details

Thank you, I created a “child” folder called blog, not /blog … But there is still no title of the “parent” folder. If I write anything in the box saying “Remote site: /” it will not stay there..

Did you change the site address / url in settings ? general?

Do you mean in the wp-config.php file?
    Or where?
    Thanks

…or do I do this in the “Site manager”/General in the ftp program (Filezilla)? …it is not easy to be a new bee… ??

In ftp / site manager / general:
    1) If I create a new site here, do I still use the MySQL username and password from my webhost?

    2) When/Where do WP login come into play?

    Thanks ??

Do you mean in the wp-config.php file?
    Or where?

No, in settings ? general in the WP admin area.
