    I’m using dreamhost and have just created a wordpress site for the first time. I wanted to upload a new theme, so I got into SmartFTP and connected to my site, but there are no subfolders.

    Now I’m not new to FTP, so I know I did that part right. But is there somewhere else I should be looking? I installed wordpress in the root folder of my domain, so it would be the front page. Did it actually get installed elsewhere? I wouldn’t think so, because when I go to the site in IE, wordpress shows up and works correctly.

    So where do I find the wp-content/themes directory? I know it shouldn’t be this hard.

    Link to your site, please?

    Ok, so I went to my web site and clicked on themes,and I just ended back up on
    Theme Viewer with all the theme selections. But I’ve already selected my theme- in fact, I have it here in an unzipped folder. And also, the only upload indicator on Theme Viewer seems to be for theme creators, not bloggers. What should I do? Thanks!

    @cynsation,
    What are you talking about? The theme viewer site (at https://themes.wordpress.net) is NOT your site.

    You upload the themes on the server where your site/blog is hosted.

    Yes, mushu, I know that themes.wordpress.net isn’t my site. That’s why it’s mind-boggling that when I went to mypurchaseddomain.com (as Moderator Michael H had suggested to josepo) and clicked on themes, I ended up on themes.wordpress.net.
