Can’t Fix “Critical Error”

  • I’m troubleshooting a website which apparently suffered from an out of date Contact Form 7 plugin (which I was notified by email of). Here’s the situation:

    – Site doesn’t load (actually loads erratically now)
    – wp-admin doesn’t load

    Here’s what I’ve tried:

    – renamed all plugin folders
    – renamed default theme folder
    – replaced all WP core files
    – repaired database tables in phpmyadmin

    So far, none of this has worked. I can’t understand what there could be left to do at this point.

    It seems that now I just get the error when attempting to login at /wp-admin. It allows me to enter account credentials and then shows the critical error. Thanks for the feedback though, I thought the main website was loading erratically! At least this is a step in the right direction. I believe it was the final step which I took, rebuilding tables in phpmyadmin, which brought the main site online (albeit without being able to login).
