• I used to maintain this website regularly, but for a variety of reasons could not do so for about 5 years. I left it up so the existing content would be accessible to visitors, and I also expected to one day start maintaining it again. That time has come, and I tried to log in to start the process of updating WordPress, but when I go to any page and click on the “log in” radio button, I get what I gather is called a WSOD. I contacted earthlink and their response was “WordPress is not able to load correctly due to a coding issue.” They confirmed that my credentials (username and password) should still be valid. Any help getting it functioning again would be much appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I suggest you to first manually disable all plugins/themes.

I don’t understand how I can do that without logging in as an admin. I am a total novice here; I will need detailed instructions.

I found a way to manually disable plug-ins by accessing the control panel and renaming the plugins folder. It didn’t work. I still have no log-in page.

Was PHP upgraded? If after disabling the plugins you still see a WSOD, I suggest you to check the server error log.
