Can't get Amazon Affiliate links to work

  • Hi,So I’m having a lot of trouble with adding Amazon Affiliate links on my site in this blog post on my site https://www.thelifestylecompound.com/best-entrepreneurial-books-ive-read/

    I copy the html text and add it in the link box but it does not work. I have searched the WordPress forums and cannot find anything relevant to my situation apart from one thread saying to make sure you use the ‘text’ version when adding an Amazon link.

    I’ve tried it with the ‘text’ mode and also in the ‘visual’ mode but it just will not work. It just takes you to “Oops! Google Chrome could not find <a href=”http”

    Can anyone please help me out with this, it’s driving me insane !

  • Hi,

    I think the problem is that if you are copying the ‘html text’ from the Amazon site you _do not_ want to put it in the ‘link box’.

    You just need to use the ‘Text’ mode editor and paste the ‘html text’ from the Amazon site directly into the editor area.
