• Hello, I’m trying to get the full text of my blog posts to show on the main blog index along with a featured image.

    My site is here.

I went to the Appearance / Customize / Content/Excerpt and checked all the boxes to show full text, and it was reflected in the preview page to the right, but after I save, it is not reflected on my live site.

I’m wondering if the issue has anything to do with the fact that my site url in General Settings is set to https://lasnark.com rather than https://www.lasnark.com. I needed to remove the www because it kept logging me out.

    Any tips?

Okay, so, hours later I checked the site and now it is updated. It seems there’s a strange delay in the site updating, possibly do to the www issue? I don’t know.

Some hosts use server-side caching – does yours?

Hmm, I’m not sure. I use Hostgator and I’m not on a dedicated server. Does that tell you the answer or should I ask them?

    Ask them.

Well, Hostgator said it is not doing server-side cacheing and that my issue may be due to WordPress taking a long time to propgate. I’m not sure how legitimate this is. I’m thinking about leaving Hostgator anyway.

Back to my original question, It seems that I still cannot get the full text of the post to show on the index.php page. My latest posts include embeds (video/audio) and I’d like them to show on the index page.

Is there a way to do this?
