I just updated WP-Members plugin and now have no access to my dashboard I getthe following error page.
Warning: require_once(/home/wp_9c59qu/howu.club/wp-content/plugins/wp-members/admin/tab-about.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/wp_9c59qu/howu.club/wp-content/plugins/wp-members/admin/includes/class-wp-members-admin-api.php on line 69

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/wp_9c59qu/howu.club/wp-content/plugins/wp-members/admin/tab-about.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php5/lib/pear’) in /home/wp_9c59qu/howu.club/wp-content/plugins/wp-members/admin/includes/class-wp-members-admin-api.php on line 69

How can I fix this if I cannot even access my dashboard?

  • Same here. Update breaks on failed require.

same here. getting an 500 internal server error.

you can rename the folder wp-members in the plugin folder that should deactivate the plugin and you can access your dashboard.

Same here. Had to disable the plugin in order to get back into the dashboard.

Another way to disable your plugins is to go into the Database from PHYMYADMIN and find the active plugins field in the WP Options table. Remove all data from that field and save. That will put all plugins in deactivated mode. You can then turn them on except for WP-Member until this is fixed.

I tried removing data from active plugins that didnt work. Where do I find the wp-members folder?

    I’m having the same problem.

    Same here

This has been fixed and a new package uploaded, it is labeled as version 3.1.0.1 (so that anyone who loaded the update up to now will receive an update notice).

If you cannot access your dashboard, FTP to your site and remove the folder /wp-content/plugins/wp-members/. This will deactivate the plugin without removing its settings. You can then redownload the plugin.

    Nice work, Chad. Quick fix.

No problem – glad it was caught early on before too many users were affected.

The issue stems from the fact that there is a new tab being added to the admin panel (tentatively “About”) but it was determined not to include the tab at this time as it needs some additional work. The tab file was not included in the update, but the line in the new admin api class that includes was not removed.

Thank you for the very fast release of the fix.
    Works perfect now!

    Hi, I’m in FTP but I don’t see a wp-member folder.

    Need help please.

    solved thanks
