Can’t get it to work

Hi, there do not appear to be any image links at the link you provided. Please provide a link to a specific page that exhibits the issue you are experiencing and I would be glad to take another look.

Also, it’s important to ensure that the images you want to be clicked on are properly linked to the images you want to be displayed in the lightbox. Without links, there is nothing for visitors to click on and launch the lightbox.

I read and reread what you write and I simply don’t understand what you are describing. Maybe it is too logical for you or lingustical for me…

I have the same problem as comsud has. I insterted images and I expected them to be clickable in the blog. Maybe that was too easy thinking?

I also read the manual you suggested: https://github.com/archetyped/simple-lightbox/wiki/Lightbox-not-working-on-New-Posts and the related https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/image-block/#link-settings. It does not help me any further. Appearently there should be a pencil to edit images? It is not there. A button to select wide images? It is not there.

I spent hours in trying to have such a simple and trivial thing like “click on an image to make it big” and I just cannot get it to work.

Would help my blog on https://www.corsita.com/blog if images could be made bigger.

I am using WordPress 5.4 with Theme Twenty Seventeen. Pretty freshly installed and no modifications to whatever source file (which I could not do anyway)

@casellini you should be seeing things as described in the Image Block’s documentation. Can you provide a screenshot of what you’re seeing when you’ve selected an image from your post in the post editor and selected the “Block” tab in the editor’s sidebar?

Hi, it looks like the editor UI has changed since that documentation page has been published.

Thankfully, adding a link to an image now even simpler!

With the image block selected, just click the “link” icon in the pop-up controls (next to “Ersetzen” [Replace] button), and select the type of link to create (Media file or Attachment page). SLB is compatible with either option, so once the link is added, the image should be displayed in the lightbox.

If you are still experiencing this issue after adding the link to the image, please post an updated link to a page that exhibits the issue and I would be glad to take another look.

Oh Man… Thanks for helping. I wasted hours in trying to find a solution.
