Can't get it to work

I’ve activated the plugin on my multisite install (network activated) and added the field to my options page I have created via ACF Pro (5.1.8).My code is
<?php the_field('fu_footer_menu_1'); ?>but nothing is displayed.(I’ve told it to return Nav Menu HTML)
