Can’t get it to work. Help?

    Hi,

    I have a fairly large site and I was about to buy this plugin as secondary to my VaultPress backups, but I wanted to test it first. I’m experiencing some issues.

    The Daily Backup of “just database” is fine (DB size 500 MB), however, I can’t get the Complete Backup to work at all for my “database and files” (total size 4 GB). This is a large site. I would like to exclude /uploads/ folder which would bring the size to about 1 GB, but the “Exclusions” part of the plugin doesn’t work and neither does the “Complete” backup (because I assume the size is too large to handle) – it’s just an empty page.

    So my question is how do I get it to work? I’m willing to purchase but I can’t buy something that’s not working. Thanks!

    Hi there –
    Have you tried seeing if the WP Debug option turns up any specific errors that might be occuring on your end? Usually, errors that don’t display anything onscreen like that, and result in a white screen, are related to memory limits being hit. Check with your host to see if that might be the case? With such a large site you’d definitely need upgraded php.ini limits, which would include the memory_limit, max_execution_time and max_input_time.

    Let me know what you find out and we can troubleshoot from there!~
