Can't get my head around Gravatar on this support forum

I followed the intructions and logged into gravatar.com, uploaded a better pic, even added 2 of my email addresses. How does it link back to this site?

If this stuff doesnt work properly just let people do things the old-fashioned way until you worked out the kinks.

Wait, you mean you didn’t upload a brown monster with an hourglass-shaped head with four worms sticking out of it as your gravatar?

On a serious note, gravatars work seemlessly. Are you sure the email you used for this site is part of the gravatar you created? If so, it could be as simple as clearing your cache. You can also check by trying a different browser.

I have the right email address, tried other browsers, appears the same :-/

I’m assuming they don’t want to host 30 million avatars on their servers!

You have the image properly assigned to the appropriate email? Have you used the ‘check gravater’ feature over on the gravatar site? You can do it per email address

Yeah I think I pin-pointed the problem, gravatar doesn’t link email addresses, so you have to set an avatar for each email address separately. But you have to click on the email address to find out that it isnt linked, and I hadnt thought of that til now.

Also, after uploading my picture to gavatar it took about 20 minutes before it appeared on this forum; so not instant.
