Can't Get Pages Off Of Website

  • Since I had just started by website, I realized I had pages wrong. I copied my info to WORD and deleted every page.

    On the website, they are still there. I get this error:
    Not Found
    Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.

    There should not be any pages or postings. I deleted everything to start over.

    How do I get the pages off of the website? Thanks.

  • I think you are reading this incorrectly.

    That is an error page– looks like a 404 page to me. Had you posted an URL I could check to be sure. That means that the page is not there anymore. You are probably typing the old URLs into the browser and seeing this page, right? If you 404 page works the way I am guessing it does, you can type in any non-existent URL and see that same page. It does not mean that the page is “on your site”. It means just the opposite.

    No, you see menu items. The pages are not there. That is why you get the message saying that the pages are not there. Go to wp-admin->Appearance->Menus and see if you can edit the menu to remove those items.
