Can't get past loggin to customize my site

    Hello there, I’ve been running my site https://www.gocuplin.com for about a year and using the Customizer PRO theme from the get go. I’ve completed a recent update, but now when I go into Appearance > Themes and click on Customize under the theme it takes me to a log in page but when I enter my WordPress username and password it says “You have logged in successfully” and then immediately takes me back to the same screen and wants me to put in my username and password again (saying “Your session has expired. Please log-in again”). I don’t even know why I’m being asked to login under the themes tab because I’ve already logged in to my WordPress account. I’ve tried reverting and reinstalling, but same problem either way. I’ve also tried renaming the .htaccess file and updating via the .htaccess Editor plug in as advised, but still no joy. Please help, thanks in advance, Matt

    Also, as my blog is completely broken I tried switching to a WP theme (in case it was an issue with the commercial theme I’m using) but I have the same issue. Please help, thanks in advance, Matt

    Have you tried disabling your plugins?

    I have, yes, but still with the same issue. Anything else to try?

    Oh and like that I know the answer. You won’t be able to use customizer.

    When I go to gocuplin.com/wp-admin to log in, I get sent here:

    https://03bb5e7.netsolhost.com/WordPress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gocuplin.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

    Now the issue is that WordPress’ customizer has you logged in via netsolhost.com but it wants to show you the site at gocuplin.com – Since those are different domains, your browser thinks “OMG! Someone’s hacking you!” and protects you.

    Sadly, unless you can use gocuplin.com/wp-admin and not the netsolhost domain to access the backend of WP, you’re out of luck on this one.

    OK, great, this is super helpful. Now that I understand this. I’ve switched the URL in General settings to https://03bb5e7.netsolhost.com/WordPress/wp-login.php? then I’m making the changes I need to before switching back to https://www.gocuplin.com. Have tested this approach – remembering to update the .htaccess files and it works. It means the site is down for a little while, but that’s OK. Thanks for the time.
