Can't get rid of side widgets

    I’m using the “grass and dew” theme and trying to get rid of the Links and Meta on the sidebar. I’ve tried everything, but they won’t go away. In the widget area in setup – there’s nothing sitting in the sidebar, so not sure where to edit these out??

  • ‘normally’ if you drag the first real widget in ‘dashboard – appearance – widgets’ into the widget area, the placeholder ‘widgets’ should disappear.

    if not, you would most likely need to edit sidebar.php of your theme.

    (this is a common question – and you might find more answers by using the forum search)

    Got it fixed – thanks for your help! I just simply added the ones I wanted to the sidebar and it replaced what was there.
